Friday Afternoon in the Park 2005
Three special Friday afternoon events.
Co-sponsored by the Boulder History Museum.

June 17th: Central Park, Broadway and Canyon Boulevards;
where the train 'used to be!'.

Friday, June 17th at 5:30 p.m.
Learn about where the trains ran, when they came to Boulder, where the stations were, and where they are going! Find out where the train is and when it comes home and the future of trains in Boulder County.


July 15th: Chautaqua Park, Baseline Road
Friday, July 15th at 5:30 p.m.
Learn what a Chautauqua was and is and why the Boulder Chautauqua is unique. Hear about preservation of the Park and learn what a "CLA" is and why it's important.


August 19th: Eldora Springs, 79 Berber Lane;
the 1863 sandstone homestead built by the Barber Family.

Friday, August 19th at 5:30 p.m.
Learn about the unique history of this old-time resort that once welcomed the newly married Eisenhowers. Find out about the crazy stairs, a ballroom, a grand hotel and a unique "train."

A new pamphlet about Eldorado Springs researched and written by Betty Chronic and funded by the Colorado Historical Fund will be introduced.
